When traveling to Spain, be ready to gratify in a diversity of culture and traditions. With its many regions, each with its diverse authority and ways of doing things, travelers to Spain will be certain be treated to a plethora of picturesque sights, sounds and experiences.

Touted as one the world's famous tourist destinations, Barcelona, travelers to Spain will find the openwork spires of the El Templo Expiatorio de la Sagrada Familia or the Church of the Holy Family. The personal obsession of Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi y Cornet was reflected in the neo-Gothic architectural masterpiece reknowned for its undulating curves and flamboyant design just before he died in a trolley accident. Travelers to Spain's Barcelona will also find the paved thoroughfare Las Ramblas leading to Plaza de Catalu'a fascinating. In the oldest section of the city, travelers to Spain will get to see the Church of San Pablo del Ocampo and the Gothic Cathedral of Santa Eulalia, which is a monument to Christopher Columbus. In Barcelona, the Barri Gotic and the red brick Arc del Triomf can be found. Both were designed by Josep Vilaseca.

Among them are the University of Barcelona, the Autonomous University of Barcelona, the Royal Archives of Aragon, the Archaeological Museum, the Museum of Ancient Art, the Museum of Modern Art and the Contemporary Art Museum.

Madrid, the capital of Spain, is a metropolis known for its nightlife. Travelers to Spain will be entertained with its bars and summer terazas. Areas of note are the Chueca and the Circulo de Bellas Artes where travelers to Spain can enjoy relaxing and drinking in its many bars and discotecas. Three of the finest museums in the world can also be found in Madrid. travel through Spain's art history as you view the country's art collection. Museo del Prado is the most famous of the lot. Travelers to Spain will be able to see in the museum Velazquez's Las Meninas and Goya's Las Majas.

The Centro de Arte Reina Sofia, on the other hand, houses Pablo Picasso's Geurnica, a depiction of the Spanish Civil War. Of course, no place will compare to the Royal palace itself, where travelers to Spain can walk through the residential rooms of 18th and 20th century royalty.

Another sight that travelers to Spain should not leave without seeing is the Alhambra Palace, which is possibly the greatest work of the Moorish art in Spain. Consisting of several courtyards and patios, this Palace in Granada is a superb piece of architectural work with its elaborate inlaid walls and ceiling designs.

Arriving in Barcelona, Spain the first thing you’ll probably notice is the pace of life. Spain’s second city is thriving and the vibrant people are a reflection of that. While this might fit with many tourists’ ideas of a perfect holiday destination, others want something a little quieter. It might surprise you to know that even in Barcelona, Spain there are lots of places you can do this as well.

Several areas out with the immediate city centre are home to quiet apartment buildings that you can enjoy. Being slightly further away from the night spots and party areas, you will have peace and quiet. The city centre itself is somewhere you would be best to avoid if you are in Barcelona, Spain strictly on business. And you’ll be surprised just how more peaceful it is just a few minutes away.

Even better, the hotels and Barcelona apartments that you will find in this Spanish area are just as tranquil. You won’t have to endure any midnight disturbances with partiers returning home in the early hours of the morning. You can rest assured that a good night’s sleep lies ahead and knowing you aren’t going to be disturbed. You may also find that the general standard of the apartments is slightly better in areas such as Passeig de Garcia, El Born and Eixample, Spain. This is because they are looking to cater for the professional type looking for peace and tranquillity.

So the city centre is off limits for those with business to do. This means avoiding areas like El Raval, the Gothic Quarter and Las Ramblas, Spain. They may have some of the best accommodation providers in the city but they are also the busiest in Spain. This means two things: lots of people and lots of noise – not exactly the kind of you’ll be looking for.

But being out of the city centre certainly doesn’t mean that you have to go without all the necessary facilities to make your trip a success in Spain. For someone in the city to work internet access is going to be essential. It is scarcely imaginable how people managed to carry out business without the use of email in times gone by. With this in mind, most of the apartments that are available to you will provide this without any problems. But if getting online is going to be essential you probably shouldn’t assume it will be provided. In this case, make sure you check in advance and be on the safe side, just in case.

As most of us know, the people of Barcelona, Spain thrive on the pace of life the city provides. From sun up to sun down, Spain’s second city is all go, which sits perfectly with the majority of visiting tourists. However, there is a small minority that have to come to Barcelona with intentions other than having fun. For these people there are plenty of areas that will provide the ideal quiet living.

Most of the neighborhoods within the immediate vicinity of the city centre offer a slice of quiet living. They are ideal choices for anyone coming to the city because the streets are calm during the day and even tamer at night. The reason for this is that most Spain visitors to the city choose the city centre itself. This is by far the most raucous area of the city, so if you are looking for some peace it is best avoided.

Areas like Passeig de Gracia are also perfect because of the other people you’ll find within the apartment buildings. Often of a higher quality, these apartments look to cater for business-type people and the facilities they require in Spain. So, you can rest in the knowledge that you can get on with any work you have to do during the day, but you’ll also get a good night’s sleep. No noisy neighbours, not nightclubs nearby, just peace and quiet in Spain.

So the city centre is off limits for those with business to do. This means avoiding areas like El Raval, the Gothic Quarter and Las Ramblas. They may have some of the best accommodation providers in the city but they are also the busiest in Spain. This means two things: lots of people and lots of noise – not exactly the kind of you’ll be looking for.

But being out of the city centre certainly doesn’t mean that you have to go without all the necessary facilities to make your Spain trip a success. For someone in the city to work internet access is going to be essential. It is scarcely imaginable how people managed to carry out business without the use of email in times gone by. With this in mind, most of the apartments that are available to you will provide this without any problems. But if getting online is going to be essential you probably shouldn’t assume it will be provided in Spain. In this case, make sure you check in advance and be on the safe side, just in case.

Even if all your needs are being met inside your living quarters, there’s bound to come a point when you’ll need some fresh Spain air. In this case, take some time out and visit one of the city’s many parks. Designed by Antonio Gaudi, this is the most famous park in the city. It is great for taking a gentle stroll and collecting your thoughts. It also has many ornamental structures where you can appreciate the work of Spain’s favourite architect. Park de la Ciudadella is no less interesting and has a long history as a fortress and even a prison. Today it is home to a public garden filled with beautiful fauna and an exhibition space.

As you can see, Barcelona, Spain is not just all about the pubs, clubs, noise and bright lights. There are many areas where apartments have been set up ideally for those coming to the city for business only. You won’t have to be disturbed or distressed when trying to get work done. Instead you can enjoy peace and quiet in luxurious surroundings and wait to your next trip to discover the city’s livelier side.

Spain Is An Ideal Vacation Destination Any Time Of The Year

Author: Peter Wilson

Most people think of a vacation in Spain as a summer vacation, but the fact is there is plenty to do in Spain at any every time of the year. So many attractions to see and things to do that it will not matter when you are there.

If you are into nature and outdoor activities, you will find skiing, water sports, hiking and rock climbing. If you prefer culture and history, visit the many museums, old churches, castles and fortresses. There are festivals in every part of the country at just about any time of the year, where you can learn about the culture of the region.

Don't think outdoor activities in Spain can only be enjoyed during the summer months. There is plenty for the outdoor enthusiast any time of year. Each season has wonderful activities to offer you, depending on which location you visit. Although the sun and the sand of the areas surrounding the Mediterranean, such as the Costa Blanca and the Costa Del Sol, are the main attraction during the summer and lure crowds of vacationers during the months of June through September, there are many other things to do there. There are resorts offering all kinds of activities, and spas where you can relax and rejuvenate your spirits. You can find these kinds of spas and resorts all over Spain, in small towns as well as in big city centers. One of the most notorious summer events in Spain is the famous "running of the bulls", which takes place in July. Adventurous sorts from all over the world come to Spain to participate in this event and test their speed against that of the bulls. You can try to do that yourself, or you can just watch from the sidelines. The best part for everyone are the festivities that take place after wards.

Spain has many mountainous areas, and skiing is therefore a popular past time. There are top ski resorts located in Spain in such areas as Catabunya, Malaga, Torremolinos and Aragon. The ski season can run from early winter through spring, with the late spring months especially popular for the warm spring skiing.

For something a little different, try rock climbing. This is a very popular outdoor sport in Spain, and many areas of the country have sites that draw avid climbers. If you are experienced, you may want to put together a group of climbers, or you can join an organized tour if you don't have much experience. Many of the organized tours will include some basic lessons in rock climbing, so it is perfect if this is something you have always wanted to try.

For the more culturally inclined, Spain has a large number of world famous museums all around the country. The main cities such as Barcelona and Madrid of course have a number of large museums, but smaller cities also have many museums that exhibit the art and history of Spain throughout the ages. This is one of the best ways to understand and appreciate the culture of the region you are visiting.

If you visit Spain in the spring, you will want to be sure to attend some of the Holy Week festivities. Since Spain is a mostly Catholic country, the week leading to Easter is full of pageantry and processions. Every town, big or small is sure to have a procession or passion play. The passion, death and resurrection of Christ is depicted in these activities. Catholics from all over Spain attend the Holy Week processions, and many non-Catholics attend to experience the beauty and art of this custom.

Enjoy A Vacation In The Benidorm Area In Spain

Author: Clinton Maxwell

If you're spending your holidays in Benidorm Spain, you'll be at the most popular tourist resort on Costa Blanca. Whether you're looking for entertainment that's low-key and subdued or you'd rather be wild and crazy, you'll find activities to suit your mood.

Things to Do

Once you arrive at the airport in Alicante, you'll drive about an hour until you get to the excitement capital of Costa Blanca. Choose from theme parks, beaches, nature tours, golfing and water activities during the day, and at night enjoy dining at one of the 1000 restaurants in the area, and visit one (or two!) of the 30 nightclubs in Benidorm.

If you're traveling with children (and even if you're not), you can enjoy a day at a local theme park. Terra Mitica is the popular amusement park that is modeled after many different ancient civilizations. Aqualandia is a popular water park, and Mundomar is a haven for popular marine life, like dolphins and seals.

You can find a tour group to explore the area with, or you can check it out on your own. Festivals are held often, to commemorate a religious holiday or a community event. The wide range of local shops offers a unique shopping experience. You don't even have to leave the city limits to find enough activities that interest you. The hustle and bustle of this town is rivaled only by the sheer number of exciting things to do.

Finding a Vacation Deal

With careful planning, you can find great deals on vacation packages in Benidorm. Thanks to the internet, you'll be able to compare packages and choose the best hotel for you, all with the click of a mouse. Often times, vacations are pre-packaged to offer airfare, hotel accommodations and sometimes a car, all for a lower rate than booking individually. It makes sense to plan far in advance, but sometimes you can find a last-minute deal to Spain that's too good to pass up. You might find a four-star hotel at a budget price, or a low-priced hotel at a rock-bottom price.

The Perfect Benidorm Vacation
No matter your interests, you can find something you enjoy here. If you're a history buff, you can learn about ancient Spain and all its artifacts. If you're a nature fan, you can find walking tours that allow you to enjoy the natural beauty of Spain. If you just want to relax, a wide, sandy beach is just steps away. There's something for everyone in Benidorm!
